I was born and raised in Venezuela. I love dancing since I was a child. Actually, I dreamed of becoming a professional dancer, but I ended up studying chemical engineering in Maracaibo (my hometown). I came to the Netherlands in 2009 to pursue a PhD. In 2013, I obtained my PhD in Chemical Engineering at Eindhoven University. After that, I started working in the chemical industry as an Innovation Project Manager and Technology Scout. This is what I am currently doing part-time.
I live with my family in Epse (East Netherlands). We are all sporty people. My husband is a wrestler/boxer, my son is a football player and my daughter ice skates. Together with my family I like to go for walks.
Since 2016 I have been taking Salsation and Zumba dance fitness classes regularly and in 2017 I officially became a Salsation and Zumba instructor for the first time. Due to my second pregnancy and busy full-time job, I took a break from the dance fitness world. In January 2022 I renewed my Salsation Basic License. In May 2023 I became a Salsation Elite instructor. This has helped me to take my dance and teaching skills to a higher level. In November 2024 I renewed my Zumba license. I also obtained a basic certificate for group fitness instructor in 2017 at the well-known Dutch academy AALO. In September 2024 I followed the Step instructor training at AALO and in March 2025 I obtained my Zumba Step instructor certificate.
Social contact and helping others are very important to me. I love to give people the energy and motivation to be and stay fit. I like to share my passion for dancing with my students and get to know them better with some extra social activities like high teas after class or events. I speak Spanish (native), English (fluent) and Dutch (intermediate level).
